About Oakland Terrace

Oakland Terrace is one of the largest elementary schools in Montgomery County with well over 700 students. Located just outside the Capital Beltway and just a few miles from Washington, D.C., Oakland Terrace serves a diverse population of students from all over the United States, Central America, the Caribbean, South America, Africa, Asia and Europe.

Oakland Terrace has undergone one of the most dramatic demographic shifts in Montgomery County in the past decade while continuing to build on its academic success. Oakland Terrace has been recognized for its improved test scores as the achievement gap shrinks among demographic groups. Oakland Terrace is a Professional Development School, enjoying a partnership with Towson University.
