Many colleges/universities will visit Northwood High School to speak with interested Juniors and Seniors.  Juniors and Seniors must request a pass from Ms. Hammond-Davis one day prior to the college visit.

BLACK COLLEGE-CAREER DAY - TBA - February 2012 @ Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, Family Life Center, 1630 Vermont Avenue, NW, Washington, DC - sponsored by the United Negro College Fund, 9:00-2:00, representatives from 75 Black colleges & universities are participating. UNITED NEGRO COLLEGE FUND & MCPS COLLEGE FAIR @ BLAIR HS - February 16, 2012, 6-8 pm, (snow date-2/17/12) - All high school students are encouraged to attend along with parents. Eligible Seniors will be able to participate in on-the-spot admissions interviews if they bring completed college applications, transcripts & test scores. Fifty HBCUs are expected to exhibit. WASHINGTON DC USA GAP YEAR FAIR - February TBA 2012, 12:00-3:00 pm - This event will be held at Sidwell Friends School, 3825 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Students who are considering a "gap year" once they graduate from high school are encouraged to attend to find out about the many opportunities available for enriching experiences. http://www.sidwell.edu

FREE MEDICAL SCHOOL RECRUITMENT FAIR - Saturday, March 19, 2012, 2:00-5:30 pm at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC. In partnership with the National Hispanic Medical Association and the Association of American Medical Colleges, all H.S. and M.S. students & parents are invited to attend this fair. You will learn about preparing for medical school, how to apply and finance med school and meet recruiters from medical schools across the country.
