Northwood families and friends,
Giant's A+ BonusBucks site (www.giantfood.com/aplus) is open for signups. The 2009-10 cycle is from October 9-March 25. Please remember that EVERYONE must register his Giant BonusCards for this school program EVERY school year--these school registrations do NOT roll over into the following school years; schools begin a school year cycle with zero registrations.
Giant also is mailing out NEW BonusCards/keytags to its customers. These have Giant's new logo, but have people's same BonusCard numbers on them. If you may have lost your previous BonusCards (and instead use your phone number when you shop), it now will be easier for you to register for the A+ BonusBucks program when you get your new card in the mail.
Please take ONE MINUTE to register your BonusCards for this easy program and you'll be all set for this school year. This year's A+ cycle is two weeks shorter than in prior years, so sign up now (before you forget) to be sure that Northwood will receive ALL of your rebate during this year's cycle. Go to http://www.giantfood.com/aplus click on Join the Program, and enter the first three letters of your LAST name and your 12-digit Giant BonusCard number. If you don't know your card number, call Giant's BonusCardhotline at 1-877-366-2668 (Monday-Friday) and someone will look up your account and register you. You also can call the hotline number if you've moved (and thus didn't get your new cards sent to you) or if you've changed your phone number since originally getting your Giant card and use your phone number when you pay--Giant must have your phone number to be able to link your purchases to your account and credit schools.
You can select up to three schools to benefit from your Giant shopping during the October 9-March 25 timeframe.
Thanks so much for taking a moment to get this done! Last year Northwood earned $2,759.68 from this program! If you have friends or neighbors who shop at Giant and would like to support a school, please let them know how to register (shoppers do not need to have school-aged children to participate!). Please DON'T fill out a designation card at Giant stores to sign up--it takes a long time for these cards to be processed, and if there's any problem with the name/card number, the signups don't happen.
Safeway shoppers--Please remember to sign up your Safeway Club Cards-- at www.escrip.com --for Safeway's school rebate. Since Safeway does not run its school program, you can't sign up for it at Safeway stores. If you may have signed up for this program in prior years, you don't sign up again, but instead must RENEW your eScrip account for Safeway to continue paying the school rebate (do this at the eScrip site: click on Members/Supporters and sign in to find your account). You also can go into your eScrip account at any time (in the My eScrip section of the site) to update your information, such as changing the school(s) you want to support, adding another Safeway card or credit/debit cards for the other parts of the eScrip program, or to view your monthly school contributions. If you cannot find your existing eScrip account but think you've signed up for this before, I can try to locate your account for you. Safeway's school-year rebate runs for eight months (October-May), and Safeway also has a major five-week promotion--"10% Back to Schools"--that's happening now. Please be sure that your Safeway shopping is helping schools! Last year Northwood's PTSA earned over $5,000 from the eScrip program--from Safeway, restaurants and online purchases.
To have your 10% Back to Schools Safeway rebate automatically credited to schools, you must have your Safeway card registered with the eScrip program before Labor Day. Otherwise your summer 10% promotion earnings can be redeemed at a special site next month. I'd greatly appreciate any time you could save me with this process--so please sign up your Safeway cards with eScrip now if you haven't done this already! Call 1-877-SAFEWAY first to get your card number if you don't know it, then register it at the eScrip site for Northwood High School PTSA.
Any questions, please contact me. Thanks for supporting our students and staff with these two easy but quite different programs!
