, Rosanne Skirble a reporter for Voice of America (VOA) did a story on teacher training in the United States, and featured Nicole Powell in one of her science classes and her consulting teacher, Dan Gabel. Rosanne also did radio, television and web versions of the piece which may be accessed on VOA's website at www.voanews.com . A newsletter is a publication that provides readers with information about a specific subject or topic. For this activity you will create and produce a Geometry newsletter spanning topics we have investigated throughout the curriculum, in additon to new ideas you and your classmates will explore!
Below is a list of criteria, which must be met for this project.- Each of the following topics must be represented at least once in the Newsletter:
logic and reasoning, constructions (could be a design), parallel lines, properties of polygons, and a non-Euclidean geometry, an article on circles, and finally a piece on trigonometry.
- One feature article must be about a famous mathematician who contributed to the field of Geometry.
- Links to interesting Geometry web sites must be provided, with a "review" of each site (at least two).
- A bibliography must be attached to the newsletter to cite resources used.
- Your newsletter must have a title, and your name should be below the title.
- Your newsletter should be at least one page, front and back and typed.
