Are you up for a challenge? Have you followed the race for president this year, and the accomplishments of Barak Obama and want to know more about other remarkable African Americans? Are you interested in winning a scholarship? If you have said yes to any of these questions, or if you are curious and want to know more…. the NMMS Black Saga team is forming soon. We will have a short informational meeting immediately after school November 24 in room 308. Talk with Ms. Delaney or Ms. Wood for more information.
Reflection Contest submissions are due December 1-that is only 2 weeks away! Categories available for entry include visual arts, photography, and film. Ms. Morris will be staying after school Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week to help students with ideas and creation. Works are judged at the school level first and then move all the way up to state level. See Ms. Morris, Ms. Gross or Ms. Greenberg and give the Reflections Contest a try!
Attention seventh graders! Homework club will be held Tuesday the 25th due to the holiday. Get all your homework done before your break and then really relax!
Attention Green Schools! Have you ever wondered what it was like to navigate a ship? Do you want to dredge for oysters? Have you ever wanted to serve as ship crew? Did you ever wonder about human impacts on the Chesapeake Bay? If you answered yes to these questions then join us on our field trip December 5 to Annapolis MD where we will hop aboard a skipjack and go sailing for the day.
