Let’s start with the top news of the day:

  Attention Staff and Students! Candy Grams are on sale NOW. Do you have someone that you want to say, "Happy Valentine’s Day" to? How about staff? Would you like to tell another staff member you appreciate their hard work? Order your Candy Gram now through February 2nd! The cost is $2.50 for a bag of candy, a chocolate rose, and a personalized message. For an extra $1.00, you can even add a real carnation! Candy grams will be delivered to classrooms on Valentine’s Day. Orders and money can be given to Mrs. Anderson, or taken to the main office to be placed in Mrs. Anderson’s mailbox.They will also be sold during lunch.

Neelsville’s Got Talent is only a few weeks away and we have 16 acts as of now.   For those who have received the “golden ticket to admit to the show”, practices will be held on Tuesday, January 30th (Mr. Schmid), Wednesday, January 31st (Mrs. Anderson), and Thursday, February 1st (Mr. Alhadeff) from 3-4 pm.     You MUST have a ride home and approval from your parents to stay for practice.  ALL contestants MUST attend 1 practice this week or you will be disqualified.

The next Book Wars meeting will be Wednesday, February 7.  Please bring your books and trivia questions.  We will begin to determine groups and assigning “Lightning Round” team leaders.  We will continue to create good trivia questions and read books.

 Attention 8th graders - if you are interested in attending a Historically Black College or University - known as an HBCU school - you should attend this college seminar specifically for 8th graders and their parents.  It will be held on February 9 at Einstein High School  from 6 - 7:30 pm.  Check out the Neelsville website for more information.

  Hey cheerleaders, today we will NOT be cheering at the basketball game. Please come to practice tomorrow to prepare for the game on Thursday, next week. Yeah Knights!
