New York City trip opportunity to see "Wicked"

To the parents of current NJHS members:

Your child has been offered a special invitation to see the Broadway show “Wicked” on Wednesday, May 5. The cost of the trip will be $120.00 and includes the following:

  • Transportation to and from New York City
  • A ticket to “Wicked”
  • Lunch at a restaurant in Times Square (most likely at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. which overlooks the “Square”.)

The bus will depart Neelsville at 7:30 am and return at 9:30 pm.  It will stop at a rest area on the way back so that students can purchase dinner on their own if they so choose.  However, this is not included in the trip price.

Money for the trip is due upon our return to school on April 7.  There is a $50 deposit to reserve a seat for your child.

Please contact Ms. Beckerman or Mrs. Brown if you have further questions.

Dr. Edward Newsome, Jr. , Director of School Performance for upcounty schools, gave the welcoming address. The candle lighting ceremony and student performances were led by Myiesha Jeffries, Brittney Hanson, Manisha Pradham, Nikhil Gowda, Kelly Lewis, Roda Viernes, Alana Hamann, and Linda Wu.  Ms. McClain introduced the inductees and in a surprise presentation awarded Mrs. Brown and Ms. Beckerman with adviser pins.
