 Choice Form Information

Students Residing Outside of Consortium Boundaries

Current Grade 5 and Grade 6 students who reside outside of the MSMC boundaries (out-of-Consortium) and who DID NOT submit a Round 1 Choice form may submit a Round 2 Choice form. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions for Out-of-Consortium Students. Out-of-Consortium students are not guaranteed a seat in the MSMC.

Students Residing in the MSMC Boundaries

Current Grade 5 students who reside in the MSMC boundaries (in-Consortium), who moved to the MSMC area after Round 1, and are enrolled in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will be mailed a Round 2 Choice form near the end of February. The deadline for submitting the form is March 14, 2008. The Round 2 Choice form on this Web site is for out-of-Consortium students only. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions for In-Consortium Students for more information. In-Consortium students are guaranteed a seat at one of the MSMC middle schools, but are not guaranteed their first choice.

If you are an in-Consortium Grade 5 student who is not enrolled in MCPS and you would like to participate in Round 2, contact the Division of Consortia Choice and Application Program Services 301-592-2040.

School Assignment Notification

In-Consortium and out-of-Consortium students who participated in Round 1 of the MSMC lottery should receive notification of those results in March. Notification will be mailed to the student's home address.
