Black-Eyed Susan Book Program

Flowers

All students are encouraged to participate in the Black-Eyed Susan (BES) Book Program as an independent reading project. Students are expected to read at least 3 of the books from one of our BES lists by Spring. The books from the grades 4-6 and grades 6-9 lists are available in the MLK media center. Students will fill out note cards in the media center to keep track of what they have read and to rate each book. Students that have fulfilled the above requirements are invited to vote for their favorite book and to celebrate their achievements in the Spring.
