Extra Curricular Activities

Students at Meadow Hall are offered a variety of activities for enrichment and fun. Some of these occur during the school day and some are offered before and after school.

Chorus, Aaron Broderick - Director

This year, 4th and 5th graders meet during the school day to explore vocal music in more depth. The chorus is included in the twice yearly concerts given by the school.

Instrumental Music , Ms. Ehrenspeck- Director

Instrumental Music instruction is offered to interested 4th & 5th graders once a week during the school day. Students may choose from a wide variety of instruments and give one or two evening performances a year.

Student Government,
Mr. Broderick and Mr. Milke - sponsors

Officers are elected from grades 4 & 5 and class representatives are elected from grades 3-5.

Safety Patrol, Mr. Lynch -Coordinator

4th & 5th graders work with crossing guards and other staff members to ensure the safe travel of students to and from school.

Counselor's Programs, -Ms. Tanen

The School counselor has numerous programs to help our students at Meadow Hall. She heads the Hig Five Program and holds counseling groups for subjects such as friendship, self-esteem, family changes/divorce, anger, & grief. She also helps students with their study skills and any concerns related to drugs or alcohol.

Art Club, Jason Milke-Sponsor 

Mr. Milke will inform students about the startup and details of the Art Club later in the year

Homework Club,
Ms. Hellman, Ms Gindoff, Ms. Laskos, & Ms. Kapnolas - Sponsors

The Homework Club is just the place to go when you need a little help, or just a quiet place to work. Meetings are Thursdays after school.

Yearbook Club,
Ms. Stone - Advisor

Keeping track of the people and events throughout the year.

The Morning Reading Club
Ms. Moser - Sponsor

Meeting on Friday mornings, children have a quiet place to read before the beginning of the day.

Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts

Several different girl scout troops and cub scout dens meet after school and in the evenings at Meadow Hall. To find out more contact your local scouting chapter.

 

Sports

The City of Rockville, Park and Recreation Department, offers different sports throughout the year that meet at Meadow Hall
