Mark Twain is a public secondary school.

All Montgomery County students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) receive Special Education services under IDEA.  They may be assessed to have educational issues in any combination of the following : Emotional Disabilities, Learning Difficulties, Behavioral Difficulties, and  Other Health Impairments.

 

Students come from a variety of social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Their emotional/behavioral characteristics range from extremely disruptive and uncooperative to withdrawn and unmotivated. 

We provide a general education curriculum in addition to a defined system of behavioral expectations and incentives that encourage school performance.

Mark Twain enrolls students throughout the course of the school year.
