Classes/General Talent Show: All Talent Show participants must submit the lyrics to all songs to Ms. Harper in B110 by Tuesday, November 24. This includes dancers, jugglers, and bands. [Harper] Magruder Jurors: Magruder Jurors who served their jury duty this past Saturday can pick up their Service Learning form in Mr. Bachtell's classroom, C-One-Two-Three. Jurors should complete the form and turn it in as soon as possible. [Bachtell] Putting on the Hits: Do you like to perform? Think you are a star? You probably are. Show off your skills. Take a chance to win a prize. Sign up for Putting on the Hits by next Wednesday. You don't need to have an act -- yet. Just let us know that you are interested to be a part of this event, to be held on February 26. Auditions will be held in December, sometime before the Holiday Break. Sign up sheet is on the door of Room B235 - Ms. Stephens' room. [Stephens] Senior Class Officers: This is a gentle reminder that we are supposed to be holding mandatory weekly meetings on Tuesdays after school. We have lots to plan -- at least two fundraisers, Putting on the Hits, Senior Banquet, Prom, and Graduation. Please attend next Tuesday at 2:30 in Room B235. [Stephens] ASVAB Test: For students who took the ASVAB in October, a representative will be in the career center from 1:00-2:10 today, November 23 to review the results. [Garland]+ Academics Colleges Visiting the Career Center: On Tuesday, November 24 at 9:15, period 3, there will be a student representative from Yale University in the career center. In addition to the presentation on offerings at Yale, time will be set aside for a discussion of opportunities for need based financial aid available from Ivy League and other highly selective colleges. Frostburg State will be in the conference center across from the career center, period 4, 10:00. [Garland] Financial Aid Night: Mark Your Calendars. Financial Aid Night with Dr. Herm Davis, Executive Director, College Financial Aid Counseling and Educational Services, will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the music room, A-106. Dr. Davis will focus his presentation on Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) and will provide an opportunity for audience questions. [Garland] Athletics Girls Volleyball: Congratulations, and thanks, to the Magruder Girls Volleyball team and their coaches for a fantastic season full of terrific accomplishments. Clubs/Activities Forensics: There will be a Forensics meeting tomorrow from 2:15 to 4:00 in B110. Check the Forensics board for more information. [Harper] Buddy Bracelets: Do you want to help sick children feel better? There is a new club at Magruder called Buddy Bracelets. Join us to make bracelets for children in hospitals. Our first meeting is Tuesday, December 1st in Room A219. We will be teaching how to create bracelets with different patterns. Refreshments will be served and it will be a lot of fun! If you cannot make the meeting, you can still donate string bracelets by contacting Stephanie Haslbeck, Staci Daniels, Tricia Almeida, Agi Galecka, or Katie Hartman. Our first bracelet donation will be to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. [Talbert] SISTERS: Attention all Sisters. Our special Thanksgiving meeting is tomorrow, we have planned some fun activities and a small holiday celebration for us. Be prompt, dress appropriately, and come have some fun.
