School Resources
Students who need support can use the following resources:

1. Classroom Teacher
All students should make an appointment to see their classroom teacher to discuss the problems they are having in their classes. The teacher can often provide the support needed to help the student be successful in the class. All teachers can be contacted by phone or E-mail. The telephone number is (301) 840-4600. The E-mail address is the same for all teachers; just change the name. (John_Doe@fc.mcps.k12.md.us)

2. Career Center
Provides college/career counseling, financial aid information, college trips, speakers and evening programs.
Current Schedule: Before School- 7:00-7:20, After School- 2:10-3:30
Periods 4, 5 and 6

3. Media Center
The Media Center is open for students to use its resources. There are two librarians, a media service technician and two media assistants available to support students. Print and nonprint materials, computer workstations, a copying machine and a variety of audiovisual equipment are available for students to do research projects, class assignments and homework. Students may copy, print or prepare a transparency for a small fee.
Current Schedule: Before School Hours (Daily) 6:30-7:20 a.m.
All Lunch Periods, Need to get pass in the morning.
After School Hours (Monday-Thursday) 2:10-4:00 p.m.
(Friday) 2:20 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

4. Resource Teachers and Department Chairs
These teachers are available to help students with any concerns that they may have about a specific class in a department.
Contact: Main office will provide appropriate teacher name.

5. Counselor Groups
School counselors run counseling groups to facilitate increased academic and social adjustment to high school.

6. School Counselor
The school counselor will provide additional suggestions and will schedule Educational Management Team Meetings (EMT) if the student needs additional support. The EMT meeting will look at additional supports such as classroom strategies, progress reports, special services, 504 plans, in-school support classes and outside alternative placements.
