Induction Class of 2003
Rich Boyajy-long time Booster Club President who served in the Booster Club for over a decade. Led fundraising efforts that contributed over a quarter million dollars to Magruder Athletics. Also worked as a volunteer assistant to the girls varsity basketball team.

Tracey Earley-three sport athlete (field hockey, basketball, softball) who was a two time state champion in field hockey. Graduated from George Washington University where she was an all-conference selection and was inducted into the GW Athletic Hall of Fame (in 2001).

Devin Peyton-soccer star at Magruder who was a High School All-American and the Maryland Player of the Year in 1992. Graduated from Old Dominion and has played soccer professionally.

Milt Thompson-two sport athlete who was an all-county selection in both sports(football and baseball). Graduated from Howard University where he was a baseball star. Drafted in the second round by the Philadelphia Phillies and played 13 seasons in the Major Leagues.

Karen Zarchin-a four sport athlete who was named all-county in all four sports (field hockey, basketball, soccer, and softball). High school All-American in field hockey and a member of the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Champions at James Madison (where she graduated from).


Induction Class of 2004

Peter Finn-soccer star at Magruder. An All-Met and All-South selection in his senior season. Played soccer at Georgetown where he was captain of the soccer team. Selected Honorable Mention All-Academic All-American who graduated with honors.

Richard "Gus" Grimsley-athletic director at Magruder for 18 years (also a Physical Education teacher during that time). Increased the number of varsity sports offered at Magruder (especially female sports) and was a huge supporter of all Magruder teams. Magruder teams won state championships in 5 different sports during his tenure. Now retired.

C. Keith Lyon-two sport athlete (track and lacrosse). All-Met selection in lacrosse and the Montgomery County Player of the Year in his senior season. Also selected All-American. Graduate of Rutgers University where he played lacrosse.

Tommy Neal-football star at Magruder. An All-Met selection in his senior year at Magruder and a member of the 1986 state championship team. Running back at the University of Maryland. Drafted by the Denver Broncos and played in the NFL for one season.

Rhonda Sullivan-two sport athlete (track and cheerleading) who was named an All-American by the National Cheerleading Association. Dean's List selection who received a cheerleading scholarship at the University of Maryland. Professional cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens. Currently working as a coach in MCPS.

Induction Class of 2005
Susan Amos-inducted for 14 years service as a varsity coach in field hockey and softball. Won Magruder's first state title in any sport in 1984 (field hockey). Also served as an assistant athletic director at Magurder. Currently the AD at Walter Johnson


Marc Heincelman-wrestler at Magruder High School who finished with a career record of 101 wins and 9 loses. Two time regional champion and won the 1999 state championship. An all-county and All-Met selection. Also a two time all-state academic selection.


Kelly Murphy-three sport athlete (field hockey, swimming, lacrosse). Captain of three teams in high school. Played collegiate field hockey at Salisbury State and won a Division III NCAA National Championship. Served as an assistant coach on the 2004 NCAA National Championship team.


Ken Oseneek-three sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball). All county in football and baseball. Named to the USA Today Top 22 for the state of Maryland in baseball (1989). Current a teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools.


Induction Class of 2006
Colleen (Lee) Armentrout-three sport athlete (field hockey, basketball and softball). Won a state championship in field hockey. Played field hockey at Wake Forest. Team captain in three sports and a National Honor Society member.


Brian Lee-two sport athlete (football and baseball). Won a state championship in football and named All-Met in 1986. Played football at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Honor roll student at Magruder.
Andrew Sidorick-inducted for thirty year service as a coach at Magruder. Served as the Head Baseball coach, Head JV Football coach and Assistant Wrestling Coach.

Coach Andrew Sidorick-served over 20 years as the Varsity Baseball Coach. Won numerous division titles and produced several professional baseball players. Also coached JV football and wrestling. Currently retired and is also a member of the Hall of Fame selection committee.

Charles Devereaux-a football and baseball star at Magruder. Played Division I baseball at Maryland where he established several school records. Was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles and played professionally for several years. Lives in the Montgomery County with his family and coaches baseball.

Chuck Karr-a longtime popular teacher and coach at Magruder. Chuck coached football at Magruder for nearly 20 years. Also served as a wrestling and golf coach. Chuck was a demanding coach, but incredibly popular with his players. Was a member of the coaching staff that led Magruder to two state titles in football.

Sarah Pettit-a cross country and track star who excelled in the classroom. Was a two-time all-county selection who won the 1998 state championship in the 1600 meters. Held the school record for the 800, 1600 and 3200 meters. Also a county champion on several relay teams. Ran Division I track at Liberty University where she was a nationally ranked distance runner. Graduated with a degree in nursing and lives in Virginia.

Jerome Williams-a basketball star at Magruder who went on to play over a decade in the National Basketball Association (NBA). After graduating from Magruder Jerome attended and played basketball at MC-Rockville (where he was a JUCO All-American) and Georgetown University. Graduated from Georgetown and entered the NBA. Currently lives in the Las Vegas area where he owns and runs a series of automotive dealerships.

Debbie Zarchin-an outstanding student-athlete who excelled in field hockey, swimming and lacrosse star. Was an All-Met selection in field hockey and all-county selections in both field hockey and lacrosse. Also set school records in swimming. Attended Ohio State where she played field hockey.
