Mission Statement
The mission of the staff development teacher is to provide training, resources and job-embedded support to all staff members to effectively implement the initiatives outlined in the MCPS Call to Action.

Vision Statement
The vision of the staff development teacher is to promote a professional learning community at Luxmanor that seeks and implements best practices in teaching for improved student learning.

Goals
The goals of the staff development teacher are to act as a trainer, facilitator, resource provider, consultant, coach, program manager, and a catalyst for change. To achieve these goals the staff development teacher will provide training to staff and opportunities for peer visits, model instruction for staff when needed, provide time for professional growth, stay current with changes to MCPS and state curricula, attend, staff development teacher meetings, and work with the WJ cluster staff development teachers and staff development specialists.
