Speech

Students who have significant needs in their understanding and use of language, in their production of speech sounds affecting speech clarity, and in their social language skills are seen by our speech and language pathologists.  Speech and language services are provided to those students who have been identified through the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process.  Our speech and language pathologists work hand in hand with classroom teachers and school staff enabling students to successfully access the MCPS and FLS curriculums.

Here at Luxmanor, these services are provided to preschool, private school, general education, and school community based (SCB) students.

Please visit the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) website for additional information concerning speech, language and hearing.

Virtual Speech-Language Services

Speech-language services are being provided virtually in a variety of settings. Please contact Rebecca Dickinson or Nicole Schoenbrun if you have any questions about your child’s speech skills (articulation/speech sound production) or language skills (understanding and use of language).
