Mission Statement
The main purpose of a library media center in an MCPS elementary school is to support the curriculum. It is also equally important to provide an environment, which stimulates curiosity and encourages a life long quest for knowledge.

Book Exchange
All Luxmanor students exchange books every week.

Kindergarten and first grade students may check out one book or magazine for one week at a time.

Second and third grade students may check out two books or one book and one magazine for two weeks at a time.

Fourth and fifth grade may check out three books or two books and one magazine for two weeks at a time.

Exceptions: You may not check out additional materials if you have an overdue book or magazine.

December Holidays - Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa are holidays that all happen in December. If you would like to learn about these holidays or read a story about these holidays, check out the Media Center. We have a display featuring holiday books.
