About Loiederman Middle School
Vision
A. Mario Loiederman Middle School, a school for the creative and performing arts, is a learning community committed to having all students read, write, reason, communicate, create and perform at high levels.
SIP Goal 1 (Adequate Yearly Progress): To meet or exceed the Annual Measurable Objective (AMO) as measured by the Maryland School Assessment (MSA): Reading: 90.4%; Mathematics: 85.7%
SIP Goal 2 (Climate): To improve the collaboration and communication among all stakeholders as measured by the staff, student, and parent climate surveys (MCPS or Gallup) and to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment as measured by school data.
SIP Goal 3 (African American Achievement): To increase over all African American academic achievement as measured by:
- Increasing by 1.25% in honor roll
- Decrease the number of basic students in math and reading by 10%
- Increase by 5% in advanced courses with C or higher
- Meeting MCPS ineligibility rate of no more than 8.9%

- LMS is the only whole school magnet for the Creative and Performing Arts in Montgomery County. Students are selected for LMS through the Choice Process.

- Rotating Block Schedule - classes are between 40 and 70 minutes in length
