PBIS at Little Bennett
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support)
is a school-wide system that teaches and reinforces positive behaviors
to students who are making good choices.
The goal of PBIS is to promote positive behaviors for
all students within Little Bennett. One way to achieve this goal is to
provide five positives to every one correction.
PBIS incorporates Little Bennett's High 5 Rules (Behavioral Expectations):
RS = Respect Self
RO = Respect Others
STS = Self to Self
RP = Respect Property
FD = Follow directions the first time given
Little Bennett students follow the High 5 rules in all
aspects of the school day. Take a look at all the High 5 rules as it
relates to the places listed below.
Positive Systems
High 5's
A High 5
is an incentive and acknowledgement for a whole class who has followed
the High 5 rules (behavioral expectations). The purpose of the High 5 is
to promote positive behavior by all students within a class in all
settings.
Gotcha Tickets and Eagle Bucks
A Gotcha! ticket is an incentive for individual students to follow the High 5 rules (behavioral expectations). An Eagle Buck is an incentive for students in Grades 4 & 5 to follow the High Five Rules (behavioral expectations). The purpose of the tickets & bucks is to promote positive interactions with students by every staff member.
