This school year will mark my 35th year in
teaching. I began my teaching career in Jamaica, 1973,
when I graduated from high school. My
pre-trained experience was so positive; I went on to teachers’ college and
graduated in 1979. I taught high school
biology to grades 10 and 11 until July of 1991 when I immigrated to the United States.
I lived in New York City for my first nine years. There, I completed my B.S. and M.S. in
special education and taught at Public School 91 before I relocated to Maryland in 2000.
Currently, I am co-teaching science to 6,
7 and 8 grade. I also have one self-contained 8th grade science
class.
I live in Montgomery
Village but do not mind commuting so far because I really love
teaching here at Lee.
