The Media Center at Lakelands
Park Middle School has a collection of over 13,000 print and
non-print materials including books, magazines, videos, DVDs,
and CD ROMs. The Research Learning Hub includes 32 networked
computers. These computers are used by the students to access
the library's computerized Patrons' Catalog as well as for
research. The media center has bought subscriptions to many
online databases and services including, on-line encyclopedias
which can also be used from home. Please use the Online Services
button on the navigational bar and get passwords from Ms.
Gelfand.

whenever you are writing or researching!
Enciclopedia Juvenil provides a Spanish elementary
encyclopedia, images, videos, and Spanish language learning
materials specifically designed for younger learners. Gran
Enciclopedia Planeta is the most comprehensive Spanish
language encyclopedia available today. It features 145,000
articles plus timelines, an atlas, and a dictionary.
The
History Resource Center: U.S. provides integrated access to
over 1,000 historical (primary) documents, more then 30,000
reference articles, and over 65 full-text journal covering
themes, events, individuals and periods in U.S. history from
pre-Colonial times to the present. The material also
includes access to the citations for over 180 additional
history journals from the Institute for Scientific
Information's Arts and Humanities Citation Index.
