  5. Here is the Character Counts think about for today:  How many of you know what it means to take inventory?  Retail shops are always taking inventory, which means they count and list all the items inside their store.  Taking inventory is an important part of running a successful business.  Did you know that taking a personal inventory is an important part of being a successful human being?  That’s right!  It’s important to sit down once in awhile and take stock of what’s inside you.  Is there love there? Fear? Responsibility?  Courage? Respect? Self-doubt?  Regardless of what’s happened in the past or may happen in the future, what’s inside you right now is what really counts.  Famous American author Ralph Waldo Emerson said it this way:  What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies inside us.   What lies inside you?  Today take the time to do a personal inventory.  That’s today’s think about and remember – Character Counts at Lakelands.
