About the Program
Welcome to the Technology Program at Montgomery Knolls Elementary! Our students explore a wide variety of software and web resources that complement classroom instruction. They participate in technology projects and activities to support grade level indicators. The purpose of our program is to integrate technology into curriculum and provide students with the technology skills they will need for future success.
Our Technology Center has 29 student workstations and an instructor's computer connected to an LCD projector so that demonstrations can be provided to the students before they move on to hands-on activities at their own workstations. Curriculum content is the major focus of all technology activities. Skills that the students learn in the Tech Center can then be used in the classroom. Each classroom in our school has two computer workstations.
The Tech Center is also used for staff training. Technology workshops are offered to staff members throughout the year.
The Internet provides students with many opportunities for learning. Our students use websites to read for information, gain literacy and numeracy skills, use online math manipulatives and much more! Check out the Web Resources link!
