MatheMagic is a daily television broadcast at Montgomery Knolls that gives students the opportunity to solve math word problems. In the classroom the teacher guides the students into using a variety of strategies to solve the problems. Here are some links to PowerPoint versions of the MatheMagic questions for Second Grade,

There are currently six second grade classes at Montgomery Knolls.

In the Social Studies curriculum, students are learning about all aspects of the community--from local school and neighborhood communities to the community represented by our nation.

The Science curriculum focuses on "Balancing and Weighing," "The Life Cycle of Butterfly." and "Liquids."

Mrs. Ricks's Class Researches Famous Women

The Second Graders in Mrs. Ricks's class are celebrating Women's History Month by researching famous women. Here are some links to web pages about some of the greatest women in history. The links include text and pictures of the famous women. For some of the women there is more than one link. We will be updating this list regularly.
