Library Media Program
Welcome to the Stephen Knolls Library Media Center. All students visit the Media Center once a week for a 30 minute lesson. Additionally, we provide staff with the materials, equipment, and information they need to support and enrich their classroom curriculum.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of the library media program is to be an integral part of the instructional program at Stephen Knolls School. Our vision is to provide the Stephen Knolls learning community with equitable and timely access to the best possible resources and services and to develop instructional partnerships that will foster the development of quality instruction, lifelong learning, and a love of books and media for our staff and students.
RESOURCES:
• The Main Room of the library media center contains fiction, non-fiction, big books, board books, books on tape, videos, DVDs, CD-Roms, reference materials, periodicals & puppets.
• The Resource Room provides supports for parents and teachers. It is entered through the media center. It contains books, MCPS curriculum guides, and supporting resources: both print and manipulatives.
