Weekly Call Out Message
Good Evening Kingsview Panthers,
This is Mrs. Thomas with our weekly updates and reminders.
First, I want to congratulate our students for another stellar week at the "view" last week! Our choral students had a spectacular show, congratulations to all of our students who were inducted into this years National Junior Honor Society and I want to say how proud I am of our girls and boys soccer teams for a fantastic season. It is all about how we ROAR with pride!
Students, Parents, and Staff,
We have two 8th grade girls who have made a commitment to helping children in need in Africa. They are are asking for you to donate new flip flops in any size or color. There will be collection containers given to each first period teacher to collect the flip flops. The fundraiser will run from Monday May 21st to Friday, May 25th. So bring in new flip flops to your first period teacher, one pair can make a difference to a person in Africa
On Tuesday, our band students will have their much anticipated spring concert and on Thursday our Orchestra will have their spring concert. Both concerts begin at 7:00 pm and you don't want to miss the talent we have at Kingsview!
On Wednesday, all of our students taking Algebra will take the Algebra High School Assessment. We will have a special schedule that day so please schedule appointments accordingly so students are here on time to show what they have learned this year in Algebra. Students have been working hard all year and we know they will do their best! We believe in you!
Lights, Camera, Action! 8th Graders - Start getting excited for the 8th grade end of year events! There's going to be lots of surprises and prizes! Get ready to walk the red carpet! It'll be a real Hollywood experience like no other!
This summer, Kingsview will be offering Reading 6, Reading 7/8, and Focus on Algebra as part of our extended year program. Our courses are taught by current Kingsview teachers and these courses either review essential reading strategies or helps them prepare for the transition to Algebra.
Classes run from July 5-July 31 7:55am-11:30am. There is a $95 course fee, but tuition waivers are available for qualifying families. Buses will run to and from school each day along the activity bus routes. The class will be kept small, so space is extremely limited.
More specific information is in the main office and on the Kingsview website under the “Extended Year Program” link. Please contact Mr. Sean Ambrose, if you have any questions or if he can be of any assistance.
