The Tri-M Academy ( Academy of Sports Medicine, Management, and Medical Careers), a smaller learning community, will integrate science, mathematics, business, psychology, health and physical education into a comprehensive academic program. The academy is dedicated to providing students with educational and vocational experiences in the fields of sports management, sports administration, medical careers, exercise science, wellness, fitness, and the prevention and treatment of injuries. Five courses will complete the academy’s course outline: Connections B: Exploration into Sports Medicine, Management, and Medical Careers; Personal Fitness and Conditioning; Introduction to Sports Medicine and Management (SMM 1); SMM 2; and SMM 3, involving year-long senior projects and internships. Academy students will be expected to follow a rigorous comprehensive high school schedule involving 4 credits in english, math, and science. Optional coursework will depend on student’s personal interests and goals. This academy will prepare students for college rigor and career.
