Early in November, the decision was made to end the Cambridge program at John F. Kennedy High School. Kennedy hopes to replace Cambridge with the International Baccalaureate program and, in an attempt to ensure that incoming freshmen will have the opportunity to participate in the program, has begun the application process.
Leadership Training Institute (LTI) (Signature Program)

Students will pursue rigorous curricula emphasizing experiential learning, community service projects and leadership theory and application. They will be prepared for successful decision-making in their scholastic and professional careers. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary-curricula, leadership training, group decision-making, problem solving, community service, and role modeling. *All students in the Downcounty Consortium may apply to this program.
College Institute

Students will gain college skills and earn college credits by taking college courses during the regular school day. The College Institue extends opportunities beyond AP level and students can earn up to 30 college credits within the confines of their high school. These credits may be applied towards a Montgomery College degree and/or be applied to any receiving school.
