College Institute

The College Institute is an academic program for capable high school juniors and seniors at select MCPS high schools. This exciting dual enrollment program is a partnership between Montgomery College and Montgomery County Public Schools which gives high school students the option of earning college credit while in high school. Students may take these classes during the school day, online, or at Montgomery College.

The Internship program falls under the Career and Technology programs available at Kennedy. An internship is a paid or non-paid, career-focused experience during which students become directly involved in the workplace under the supervision of Kennedy staff members. Seventy-five hours of internship experience are required per semester (75 hours/.5 credit). Many of the academies include an internship component or capstone experience.
