CAVSx Tutoring 

High School Plus

High School Plus is a program that allows students who have failed courses required for graduation to retake these courses for credit at Kennedy. All high schools in Montgomery County Public Schools have participated in the High School Plus Program since 2007-2008, and each high school tailors its course offerings to the unique needs of its students. CAVSx

CAVSX(2)  

CAVSx is a  program available for all JFK students who are in need of academic support in their core subject areas.  CAVSx is open to students three days a week (Tues.,Weds.,Thurs.) in the JFK cafeteria from 2:30 to 3:30 pm.  There are snacks and an activity bus available at no additional cost.  If you need assistance in your classes you are welcome to come by and receive free tutoring from highly qualified JFK staff members and student teachers from the University of Maryland. 

George B. Thomas, Sr. Learning Academy 

The George B. Thomas, Sr. Learning Academy, Inc. is a tutoring and mentoring program that has been in operation since 1986. Saturday School centers are at twelve sites in Montgomery County (including Kennedy) and serve over 3,000 students annually on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., October through May.  Learn more about the program.       

Activity Bus

Activity buses run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and leave Kennedy at 4:15 pm.  Passes are available after school in the Media Center. Students are also able to use student ID cards to take the county Ride-On bus.

National Honor Society (NHS) Tutoring 

The National Honor Society offers tutoring for students. Contact the NHS sponsor  Timothy Rodman  for information.
