  • Monday - Friday 6:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Students are encouraged to use the media center before and after school.  we currently have 47 computers available for student use, as well as print and online magazines, extensive online research databases, and a large collection of books for research and leisure reading.

To use the media center during the lunch hour, students should sign in at the circulation desk upon arrival, and may leave when they are done.  students may use the computer, study, read, or meet quietly with other students.  There is no food or drink allowed in the Media Center at any time.

Circulation 

Books may be renewed as often as needed as long as no other student has reserved the book.  students may check out up to 3 books, two on a subject.  the library staff reserves the right to further limit circulation when necessary.

Resources   

The Media Center has increased in collection the number of print and non-print resources. This addition and adaptation reflects the continuous changes in the MCPS curriculum. Our extensive collection includes a well-rounded number of multicultural resources for all students and staff. Because many of our programs are now on-line, students have an opportunity to access material from home. A handout is available for students in the media center.
  

Identification

Students should be prepared to furnish student identification when checking out items. 

Computers & Scanners

Computers and scanners are available for student use before and after school, during lunch, and during class time with a pass, depending on space available.  ALL MCPS guidelines regarding computer use apply.

Printers

A network printer is located at the circulation desk for student use when printing from the computers.

Copiers

A coin-operated copier is available for student use.

Media Center Passes

Media Center passes are required for lunch and during class time.  Lunch passes are available at the circulation desk at 6:45 a.m. daily.  Passes during class time must be signed by a teacher.
