Letter from the Superintendent

Dr. Sheila M. Dobbins, former Principal of John F. Kennedy HS, presents a $7000.00 check to Mr. Thomas Anderson, Principal of John F. Kennedy HS for the Sheila Dobbins Scholarship Fund. The scholarship was started by a student group at Kennedy W.A.T.E. (Women Aiming Toward Excellence) in September 2000. Mrs. Altheria Jones (Media Specialist) and Mrs. Dollie Wallace (Transition Support Teacher) were the original sponsors of W.A.T.E. The scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who plans to major in Education.
