Highland View ES- International Walk to School Day
International Walk to School Day
On a crisp October morning, our school principal, Ms. Dardarian, assistant principal, Ms. Clark, staff, students and families gathered in front of Highland View to begin their walk to join Highland View students and families who were assembling at Wire and Franklin Avenues to participate in International Walk to School Day. This event was sponsored by our P.E. teacher, Mr. Benedetti, who met with parents to plan and organize this school event. Each year the Highland View community participates in International Walk to School Day to highlight the importance of pedestrian safety, to promote the health benefits of physical fitness, and to underscore the importance of caring for our environment.
