Introduction
There are many different literary techniques that are used by authors. Often, a reader might find specific techniques that an author uses in all his/her stories. We have identified several literary techniques that Chris Van Allsburg uses throughout each of his stories.
Task
Select an author from the Resource Section below. Using the several biographical websites, identify some of the common literary techniques that the author uses in his/her books. Record your findings on the graphic organizer provided. Later you will present your findings to your reading group.

- Record your notes on the graphic organizer.
