Elementary testing schedule for 2011-2012
Formative assessments are administered throughout a unit of study to monitor how well students are learning.
State assessments are given annually to measure how well students are learning concepts and skills specified in the Maryland State Curriculum. The Maryland School Assessment (MSA) meets the federal testing requirements of No Child Left Behind Act, and is used to measure students’ yearly progress.
