Dear Parents:
The Greencastle Elementary Parent Teacher Association welcomes you to the 2011-12 school year. We are all excited to start the year with new challenges and we look forward to having your involvement.
An important way in which parents stay connected at all levels is through the Greencastle PTA. Our mission is to support and enrich every child’s learning experience through special programs and opportunities. This can only be done if each parent takes at least some small responsibility.
The Greencastle PTA is the backbone of parent involvement in our school, and we need your help and participation. Please join today by completing and returning the GC PTA Membership form. Annual dues are only $6.00, whic will entitle you to membership with the County, National, and State PTA.
You may be asking- what is the PTA? The PTA promotes the welfare of the children in the home, school, and community .The PTA tries to raise the standards of home life, and secure adequate laws for the care and protection of our children. It also brings closer the relationship between home and school where parents and teachers can cooperate intelligently in the education of our children. Overall we help support our children- and our school.
This year’s Greencastle’s theme is One Team One Goal. We invite you to be a part of our exciting plan to see this theme through by supporting the PTA activities. There are a wealth of activities and events that can only be enhanced by your participation! Get to know your school and other parents, discover skills you never knew you had, and get that great feeling that you are helping GCES be the best it can be!
