Mr. Winter, Principal Ms. Sellman, Assistant Principal

Hello, I’m Andrew Winter the Principal of Greencastle Elementary School and I am absolutely delighted to welcome you to our school, Home of The Knights!  Greencastle Elementary School is located in the Northeast Consortium of Montgomery County Public Schools in Silver Spring, Maryland.  We educate students from pre-kindergarten through Grade 5 and have approximately 600 children enrolled.  Inside our building, you’ll find the brightest students, dedicated staff, and interested and involved parents.  I am very proud to be the principal of such a wonderful school! 

Here at Greencastle, we are committed to academic excellence and the social well being of every child.  We hold high expectations of ourselves as teaching professionals and of our students as learners.  We believe all children who attend Greencastle can learn and realize their academic potential. 

We encourage your participation and support throughout the school year.  By working as a team of students, staff, and parents, we will achieve our collective and personal goals as we celebrate our many achievements together.  So, once again welcome to our school!
