My name is Numairah Khan and this is my fourth year working at The “Creek” as a paraeducator and lunch/recess aid. The bullfrogs are the best part of the “Creek” and I count myself lucky to be able to work with them. I support the students in Reading and Math as well as monitor them during lunch/recess. I have been with MCPS for the last 9 years and this is certainly an amazing place to work!
Hi. I'm Gina Marmo and I've been at "The Creek" for 9 years. I'm a paraeducator and recess aid. I support Kindergarten and I monitor first grade for recess. I enjoy getting to know your bullfrogs. I love my job at "The Creek."
My name is Swati
Dixit. I am a Special Education Paraeducator and lunch recess aide. I have been
at the Creek since 2007, with the exception of about two years when I relocated
to Texas. I have two sons, one at University of Maryland and the other at
Northwest High School. Both my sons are former Bullfrogs. In my spare time, I
love spending time with family and friends.
My name is Carrie
Butler. I am a Special Education Paraeducator, and cover one lunch/recess. I've
been a part of the Bullfrog community since our doors opened more than 10 years
ago, starting as a parent volunteer before transitioning to become part of our
amazing staff. I have co-taught 5th grade Math for the past several years, in
addition to plugging into classrooms for Writing support and running
Reading intervention groups. When I'm not at the Creek, I am a busy
sports mom to two awesome young men, both former Bullfrogs, who are my
pride and joy.
Mr. Alan (Scott) Tanzi
As the staff development teacher at Great Seneca Creek, my job is to serve as a resource for staff in order to improve teaching and learning. To accomplish this, I am known to wear several hats around the building: coach, change agent, facilitator, and trainer. As a coach, I work to help teachers transfer their learning from professional development into practice back in their own classrooms. I work as a change agent and facilitator by guiding school staff in assessing the overall effectiveness of instructional practices and help them implement necessary changes to increase student achievement. Finally, in my role as a trainer I help staff acquire new skills and knowledge through job-embedded professional development. I recently earned my certification from Hood College in School Administration and Supervision. In addition to my work here at GSCES, I also teach classes in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR for the American Red Cross.
My name is Sara Chung. I am a reading specialist at GSCES. I love my job, because I have the opportunity to work with students, teachers, and parents. As a student, I struggled with reading and writing. Therefore it is my passion to help students become successful readers by working with teachers and parents. During my spare time, I love reading books with my two children Kaleb and Summer. Currently, our favorite book we love reading is Peanut Butter and Cupcake by Terry Border. What is your favorite book? I also enjoy going to the museums with my family. I love working at Great Seneca Creek!
I am Lisa Norris, library media specialist at the AMAZING Great Seneca Creek. I helped open “The Creek” with many other awesome staff members back in 2006! One of my favorite qualities about this staff and student community is that we thrive on learning and growing together! We are not afraid to take risks and make mistakes if it means we learned something new. I am a native of Montgomery County and grew up on a dairy farm where the MD Soccerplex is now located about 2 miles away. I have 2 amazing daughters, Sydney and Jessica. We rescued a Pitbull/ Boxer and a Pitbull Beagle that keep our family very busy and are great snuggle pups. In my free time I like to read, hike, travel, visit museums, go on adventures, and LEARN. Check out our destiny.mcpsmd.org site to learn with us!
Hi my name is Lina De Angelis-Sloan. Students know me as Mrs. Sloan. I have been at the Creek since 2012 as the Media Assistant. My role at the Creek does not end in the Media Center. You probably will see me in various classrooms, chairing International Night and Silent Auction as well as in many other school events with the goal to bring our wonderful diverse community together. In 2012, I moved back to the United States from Italy with my family and started to help as a very active parent volunteer in the media center. My background is very diverse so my passion is to learn from our bullfrog families about their culture and background. In my first year, I fell in love with our community, our school, our staff and our bullfrogs so I decided to make it my mission to help every student in our school to achieve their best. I have two very active girls at home who keep me busy with dance, soccer, basketball and so many other activities. When I am not at the Creek or with my family, I take classes to further my education to become the future Media Specialist. Hope to see you at the Creek soon!

I love working at the Creek and enjoy learning from the staff and students here every day!
