Circulation Policy
Students in Kindergarten and grade 1 are allowed to check out one book. Students in grade 2 are allowed to check out two books. Grade 3, 4 and 5 students are allowed to check out three books. Books are due two weeks from the day they are checked out. Students may renew books if they have not finished reading their books by the due date. Students are encouraged to bring back their books as soon as they are finished reading them so that others may enjoy them. No fines will be incurred for overdue books, but students are responsible for paying for lost or books damaged beyond repair.

All students are encouraged to participate in the Black Eyed Susan Award. Students in grades K-2 will listen to picture book nominees and participate in voting for their favorite picture book at the end of April. Students in grade 4 and 5 may choose to read 3 out of the 10 chapter book nominees in order to vote. Voting for chapter books also occurs at the end of April. Results will be announced at the beginning of May. List of this year's nominees can be found here.
