DISCIPLINE POLICY & DRESS CODE

DRIVING AND PARKING ON SCHOOL PROPERTY
You must turn in a completed application in order to receive a parking permit.  Cars must be parked upon arrival.  Students may not return to their cars until lunch or the end of student school day.  The permit must be prominently displayed on the rear windshield. Student's cars must be parked in one of the designated student lots.  Students who abuse the privilege of driving to school will have this privilege revoked.  There will be no loitering in the parking lot or on school grounds at any time.  Illegally parked cars are subject to towing and ticketing at all times.

LOCKER POLICY
Students will be assigned a locker for personal use at the beginning of the school year.   Administrators and security staff have the authority to search student lockers with a reasonable cause.  Full details of this policy are contained in the Student Rights and Responsibilities document.  The school is not responsible for loss of property from student lockers.  Students are not to share lockers.  It is the student's responsibility to remove all personal property at the end of the school year.  All textbooks should be returned to teachers and library books to the media center.  If withdrawing from GHS, media center materials and textbooks are to be returned to the business office for clearance.

LOST AND FOUND PROCEDURES
Lost books should be returned to the media center or appropriate department office.  Lost personal articles should be taken to the security office.  Gaithersburg High School is not responsible for personal items that are lost or stolen.
