- For general information on foreign aid, go to the "U.S. History Resource Center – Thomson Gale.” (From GHS Media Center Online Resources page, click on U, then select ), and type in “foreign aid." Read the article “Foreign Aid” from the Dictionary of American History, Supplement (1996).
- From GHS Media Center Online Resources page, select “ABC-CLIO's American Government” database, then select the "American Government" icon on the left, and click on Advanced Search . Type in “foreign aid” and “developing nations” (with the quotes) in the box, and click on “Search.” Read both of the articles, “Agency for International Development” and “Peace Corps.”

- A Google search on “foreign aid” and “developing nations” together led to a document from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) , an agency to administer economic assistance programs established by President John F. Kennedy. Go to US Agency for International Development and “mouse over” Locations at the top. Choose a region, such as “Asia & the Near East.” On the right-hand directory you can click on “Countries” and choose your country of interest. In addition to an overview, there are links on the right , including the Congressional Budget Justification and other selected USAID Reports. Pages vary slightly, so be sure to explore the links given.

- The Congressional Budget Office has an online document, The Role of Foreign Aid in Development. Read Chapter 2: “The Flow Of Foreign Aid And Private Capital To Developing Countries,” paying close attention to the sections: Bilateral Assistance of Other Countries, Multilateral Assistance Programs , and the Flow of Private Capital to Developing Countries.
