After School Activities

Math Clubs

First and second grade students meet on Thursdays at 3:15 to improve their math skills. Students rotate through guided centers. Currently the students are working on money, measurement, shapes, addition and counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's. Third grade students meet on Thursday at 3:15 to improve their math skills. They begin with a warm up and continue with a math lesson centered on a specific math skill. Students work on strategies to prepare them for the CRT tests given in the spring. Fourth and fifth grade students meet on Thursdays at 3:15 to improve their math skills. They begin with a math warm up and then spend 30 minutes in the library working on computer math programs and then 30 minutes in a group lesson. Finally they end with a snack and review.
