What is its purpose?

GBTLA’s mission is to accelerate students’ mastery of mathematics, reading, and language arts and to help close the achievement gap.  GBTLA is a Saturday school program that currently services 3,672 students from grades 1-12.

Where?

The closest academy center to Francis Scott Key Middle School is housed at Springbrook High School.  There are 12 academy centers in the county.  Saturday school runs from 8:30am – 11:30 am from October 3, 2009 – May 1, 2010.

Which Francis Scott Key students should participate in this program?

The program is available to all students.

How much does the program cost?

There is a onetime $30.00 registration fee.  The $30.00 registration fee covers tutoring services from a certified teacher on 23 Saturday mornings during the school year.
