Environmental Focus
This video was created for the Chesapeake Bay Summit in Spring of 2003. The purpose of the video was to illustrate the impact our Environmental Program has on our students. Students were simply asked to state their views about the program. The video clearly demonstrates that the program has had a major impact on the students at Forest Oak. |
Tree Planting **

In the Spring of 2003, students from Forest Oak worked together with the Izaak Walton League and the Montgomery County Dept. of Environmental Protection to plant trees on our school grounds. The video provides a good illustration of the tree planting process. It also gives you a chance to hear an outstanding performance by our own FOMS advanced chorus.

Straight A Celebration
At Forest Oak students are recognized for outstanding academic performance. Each quarter students who earn straight As are taken to a celebration in their honor. This video depicts the celebration and what it is like for our straight A students.

Character Counts
Forest Oak Middle School focuses on the recognition and celebration of those students who demonstrate the six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. The program is several years old and building a solid foundation to assure success with several initiatives in place. This video gives you an opportunity to see a character counts celebration and to hear about the impact of the program from students and community members. |
