Local Stream - Clivus Creek

Clivus Creek is a tributary of Mill Creek.
Mill Creek is a tributary of Rock Creek.
Rock Creek is a tributary of the Potomac River.
The Potomac River is a major tributary of the Chesapeake Bay.

The Watershed

The Chesapeake Bay Watershed (See glossary) consists of 64,000 square miles and includes 6 states - Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, and Delaware. There are hundreds of rivers, streams, and creeks that are part of the watershed. There are 6 major tributataries - Susquehanna, Potomac, James, Rapahannock/York Rivers, and the Western and Eastern Shores.
