Day 4

Group Meeting Day: Topic groups will convene to share ideas. Then experts will separate to original heterogeneous groups to present their expert opinions to the rest of the group.

Objectives:

By the end of the Webquest students wil be able to:

  • demonstrate an understanding of a controversial aspect of the chesapeake Bay
  • demonstrate internet research abilities
  • create a persuasive statement of their opinion about an environmental issue based on research and debate about that issue

Agenda:

Day 4

  • Students will meet in topic groups to share and discuss the information they found on the given topic

  1. species

  2. stressors

  3. habitat

  4. resource

  • Students will work in groups to share information that could be useful in persuading a person to agree with you.

  • Students will debate overall topic and opinion to hone persuasive arguments if there are varying opinions.
