Pond Field Guide

Frogs are great swimmers. In the spring, female and male frogs go into the water to breed. Some frogs swim with their webbed feet. Their feet help them swim through the water. The frogs have a rounded body and a rounded snout to also help them swim through the water. Some frogs croak. The male frogs croak to attract females so they can mate. Frogs have an extra transparent eyelid that protects them when they swim through the water. Baby frogs are called tadpoles.
