Ten Big Knights
by Carrie S. , Meagan R. , Bryan B. , Lamont S., and Karen K.
en big knights,
Riding on a horse,
One fell off,
He died, of course!
Refrain:
The remaining knights were sad,
So they told his dad,
"Your son has died,"
And then they all cried.
Nine big knights,
Riding on a horse,
A boulder hit one,
And he died, of course!
Refrain
Eight big knights,
Riding on a horse,
One was stabbed,
And he died, of course!
Refrain
Seven big knights,
Riding on a horse,
One got blown up,
And he died, of course!
Refrain
Six big knights,
Riding on a horse,
One's head was cut off,
And he died, of course!
Refrain
Five big knights,
Riding on a horse,
One killed himself,
And he died, of course!
Refrain
Four big knights,
Riding on a horse,
One bled to death,
And he died, of course!
Refrain
Three big knights,
Riding on a horse,
One spazzed out,
And he died, of course!
Refrain
Two big knights,
Riding on a horse,
A sword hit one,
And he died, of course!
Refrain
One lonely knight,
Riding on a horse,
He got hit hard,
And he died of course!
No more knights,
Riding on the horse,
One got hit,
So that's the end, of course!
Ten Big Knight's History
Our nursery rhyme is about knight's going into battle. The time period is the medieval times. There were two manors fighting against each other to settle an old problem. One manor easily defeated the other. Our nursery rhyme is about what happened to the manors, and soldiers that were easily defeated. For example: One got his head cut off, or they killed
themselves, because they didn't want to go into war. So, even though our nursery rhyme is gory, it is true, because two manors really did go to war to settle their problems in the medieval times. Our nursery rhyme is to the tune of "Ten Little Monkeys." It is a counting rhyme, and a song.
