Just sat around.
Making plans for war
It may seem like a bore.
When it's time for battle
They put their armor on.
And the knights from the round table fought until the war was gone!

Their ruler was King Arthur
He was a great man.
He protected all his people
And all his land.
He died a sad death
That no one will forget.
And we don't know much about him because we never met!

The history of our poem comes from the middle ages. When King Arthur was king of England he had many knights that sat at a round table and as they made plans for war. The way King Arthur died was from getting in a fight with his nephew, Moolred, which resulted in death.
