Famous Names From the 1940’s -- Grade 7

Gather notes on the following aspects of the person’s life and record them on the note-taking template.  :

• Birth date and place
• ‘Real’ name [if the person used a stage name]
• Any important event or accomplishment from the person’s childhood
• Education [level, e.g. high school or college, and degrees earned]
• Name of spouse [if any] and children [if any]
• Year and cause [if known] of death
• Quotes attributed to the person [if any]

Focus on the things that made the person notable during the 1940’s. Your notes should concentrate on the person’s life during this time period.

Find one or two pictures of the person as he/she looked during the 1940’s. It will be needed for the visual display.
